Ford Fuels is a family run fuel and lubricant distribution business supplying both commercial and domestic customers.
An opportunity has arisen for an energetic full-time Oil Tank Installer.
The successful applicant will be an energetic, hard working person with a full clean driving licence and friendly approachable attitude. Ideally you will be experienced as a groundworker but not essential. An OFTEC qualification would also be a great advantage but the company is willing to fund this training for the right person.
The role will be a real mix between ground working and technical so it is ideal for someone who enjoys a physical job but is looking to progress and develop new knowledge and skills.
Working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday plus overtime to be worked to meet the needs of the business.
About the role as an Oil Tank Installer
- Carrying out installation and maintenance of oil tanks and associated equipment
- Emergency call outs for failed or leaking oil tanks
- Preparing groundworks and bases for oil tanks
- Connecting oil lines between oil tanks and appliances
- Pressure testing of oil lines
- Removing fuel from oil tanks
- Setting up temporary tanks
- Installing gauges, filters and pumps
- Performing water checks
- Filtering fuel to remove debris
- Delivering of oil tanks and equipment
- Decommissioning and transporting old tanks for disposal
- Testing repaired systems to verify functionality has been restored
- Report defective systems
- Complete company paperwork in full
About you as an Oil Tank Installer
- OFTEC – Highly desirable
- Finishing work to a high standard
- Ability to work in a safe manner
- Great communication both internally and externally
- Ability to complete paperwork regularly and in full
- Team Player
- Positive can-do attitude
- Full clean UK Driving licence
- Able to act using own initiative
- Experience in a similar role (desirable)
