What we do on a tank survey.
- Arrival on site.
- Conversation with customer as to why site visit has been arranged (i.e. is the tank split, been refused delivery or customer has decided it’s time to change tank).
- Inspection of existing tank, base & location.
- Discussion with customer to ensure new tank, base & location all comply with current regulations (this could mean the new tank needs to be relocated).
- Conversation as to what size & shape they would like the new tank to be (We present the tanks we have to offer through our tank catalogues).
- If new tank needs to be relocated, a conversation to discuss what size the new tank base would be & where it would be sited (photos would be shown so the customer understands what it is going to look like).
- Once the above is agreed, we begin to note all materials needed.
- Take photos to show access in/out of the property (i.e. where we can park, measurements of side access for materials).
- Risk assessment form would then be completed on the customers’ existing tank & a copy issued to the customer (this would tell the customer why their current tank doesn’t comply with current regulations).
- Take customers details if we don’t have them already (tel number & email address).
- Return to depot to type up quotation & have that issued to the customer within 24 hours.
- Tank surveys are chargeable, for our rates please contact us.
