Steps to Adding a Telemetry Monitor
What are Telemetry Monitors?
This is a small gauge that sticks to the top of your tank (if your tank is made from metal, please let us know as we will need an adapter to fix the gauge to). This gauge will measure the height of the oil inside your tank and send the reading to your local depot who would have set a minimum level (usually 30%) before an order needs to be raised. When convenient, they will come out and make the delivery. To have this gauge, you must be set up on a Direct Debit or Standing Order to cover the costs of the fuel deliveries. Gauges are sealed units and have a battery life expectancy of 5 years.
Steps to add one:
- Organise a date for the radar to be fitted.
- An engineer will come along on this date and set up the radar gauge. The gauge will be set up to your specific tank (fuel type, length/ width/ height, trigger point based on your usage).
- Information will then be sent to the engineering department who will have the radar gauge registered with Kingspan. Allow at least 2 weeks for this to happen.
- Based on your trigger point, the depot will be notified of your fuel level at a certain percentage (usually 30%). An order will then be raised, and delivery made when next passing.
- Payment will be taken by Direct Debit after the fuel delivery is made or they payment will be taken from credit you have accrued through your Standing Order.
