As a part of our road to a greener future we want to offer our customers as many options as we can to help them on their own green journey. With that in mind, we now offer many Carbon Offsetting options for both our Domestic and Commercial customers.
Carbon Offsetting helps you compensate for your emissions by funding an equivalent CO2 saving project. Unlike with many other carbon reductive solutions, offsetting is a simple and cost-effective approach that can be done without making any changes to your vehicles or fuel supply.
The carbon offsetting projects are designed to help reduce and prevent your CO2 emissions through various sustainable solutions. In addition to the emissions benefits, such projects also help to generate employment, develop infrastructure, and provide other social benefits to communities in need.
The offsetting funds are invested in projects that factor in socio-economic needs, community consultation and abide by international laws and carbon standards.

Ford Fuels has purchased carbon credits from the Carbon Offsetting scheme. Those credits are then assigned to you accordingly. After your delivery you will receive a certificate for your records that state the project(s) that your contributions were directed towards.
If you are on our Top-Up System, once you have requested carbon offsetting it will be applied to all of your orders going forward (unless requested otherwise).
If you are not on our Top-Up System, you will need to request carbon offsetting each time.
We support an extensive range of carbon offsetting global initiatives, which reduce and prevent carbon emissions (CO2e).
Although many of the projects are based abroad, one should consider that in the UK there are already commercial benefits and grants from the government for such projects. In many other nations where there isn’t government support there has to be some incentive to move to renewable energy, without the project issuing carbon credits it would never get off the ground and thus not reduce CO2.
