Ford Fuels Employee to Tackle Kilimanjaro in Support of Bath NICU

Will Bond, a dedicated member of the Ford Fuels team, is gearing up for a monumental challenge this July, scaling Africa’s highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro. Standing at 5,895 metres, the dormant volcano is the tallest freestanding mountain in the world, and Bond is taking it on for a cause close to his heart.

On 11 July 2025, Bond will journey to Tanzania with his friend and expedition partner, Lee Oliver. The trek is more than just a personal achievement; it’s a fundraising mission for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Bath’s Royal United Hospital. Oliver’s own children received life-saving care from the NICU, and this climb is their way of giving back.

Bond hopes his climb will bring much-needed attention—and funds—to the unit’s vital work supporting newborns and their families.

Supporters can contribute to the fundraising effort via the JustGiving page: DONATE

Bond’s journey is a powerful blend of physical endurance, community spirit, and heartfelt gratitude—proof that even the steepest climbs can serve a greater good.
