Update: Government Support

The government announced on Monday 19th December that the Alternative Fuel Payment of £200 will be made in January 2023 for customers in Northern Ireland and February 2023 in Great Britain.

These payments will be made via electricity suppliers alongside the Electricity Bills Support Scheme Payments. Those customers without an electricity account and other exceptions will be able to apply through a government portal in February.

We continue to strongly advise customers to purchase their heating oil as usual ahead of the cold weather and seasonal rush.
